Q.2 Could I just talk to my friends or family for Life Coaching?
In the past grandparents, teachers or religious figures often tried to help people by offering the benefit of their life experience. They would often give advice on what they felt was best for someone and undoubtedly helped many people. However, this kind of advice is not so readily available to people today as families no-longer live in such close knit groups and less people choose to follow formal religious rites.
It was also possible that such advice could sometimes not be impartial, being influenced by the views, beliefs and interests of the person giving the advice. Our coaches are objective and are trained to offer impartial support and to help you focus on action towards your goals.
Also the confidentiality of such advice could not always be guaranteed, especially when family were involved and many emotional and sensitive issues were raised.
For this reason Life Coaching has become a growing option in today’s high pressured world. The Life Coach is a professional you can turn to for help and support, while maintaining confidentiality. Someone who should only have your best interests at heart, with no ulterior motive to keep you stuck or push in a particular direction. They are totally present for you in your coaching session, listening in a non-judgmental way. They do not tell you what to do or push their agenda, as their concern is that you find your way to Success in Life. They will encourage you to fully explore issues so you develop your own answers and independence, and set your own life goals. They will help monitor your progress and hold you to account if you do not achieve your milestones along your chosen path. They cannot do the work for you but they will push you to achieve your best.

Q3. What is Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is the name given by one of its co-founders, Richard Bandler, to a new way of looking at human learning. It is a unique approach to help you use your brain more effectively and efficiently and take more control in your life through a series of break through techniques and an attitude of fun and curiosity. It is an exciting development in our understanding of human behaviour and communication, one that offers the hope of fast and lasting change to many.

Q.6 Is Life Coaching the same as therapy or counselling?
Life Coaching is not the same as counselling or psychotherapy which tend to concentrate on exploring or reliving your past in order to bring about change or resolution. Life coaching on the other hand focuses on the future, on moving forward to create the life you desire and only addresses the past as far as it holds you back from achieving your goals.
If you are suffering from a mental health difficulty, Life Coaching is not an alternative to the counselling, psychotherapy or medical help you may need. We advise you to seek the help of a suitable professional such as a General Practitioner or a Psychotherapist or a suitably qualified counsellor

Q.7 Is Life Coaching suitable for people with a mental illness?
Life Coaching is not an alternative to counselling, psychotherapy or medical help if you are suffering from a mental health difficulty.
If you feel depressed or frequently become extremely angry or upset with others, or hear voices talking about, or to, you when no-one is around, or experience any other symptoms of mental illness, we suggest that you seek suitable medical help immediately. We regret that we cannot accept clients with a current or recent mental health diagnosis for coaching or upon any courses as we are not medically trained or supervised. Please see our terms and condition under the Legal tab.
Similarly, if a client becomes ill when undergoing Life Coaching we recommend they seek appropriate medical help as soon as possible as Life Coaches are not trained to treat serious psychiatric disorders.

Q.8 Is Mentoring, or Consultancy, the same as Life Coaching?
Life Coaching is not the same as mentoring or consultancy. Mentoring frequently happens in the work environment. A more experienced colleague tutors a less skilled person until they become proficient in a particular skill or task. Life Coaches cannot be experts in all areas of business, or life in general, but they don’t have to be. Their work is to help you draw upon your own inner resources, work with you to explore your options and set goals, devise appropriate action plans, and monitor you taking the necessary steps towards achieving the life you desire. As part of your action plan you may choose to model an expert in a particular area of life, or you may wish to find a mentor to help you address a particular deficit within your skills or knowledge base, your Life Coach should check to make sure you follow through on such plans, helping you to pull in whatever resources you require.
Consultants are usually called in to address a particular problem or area of inefficiency at work. They observe and log the existing process and focus on correcting this process. The best interest of the individual workers may well not be their top priority, value for money usually being their main concern as they are employed by the Company to improve efficiency. Whereas, a Life Coach is employed by you to help you address whatever issues and concerns you may have and to help you achieve the life you were born to live. They do not tell you what to do, but help you ask questions so you can uncover your own unique solutions. They help you to explore your options and uncover what is right for you, tapping into your true potential so that you can achieve Success in Life.

Q.9 Can I afford Coaching?
You must decide this for yourself, but we find that people are able to afford something when they feel it is important enough to them. The level of your current discomfort with your current life and the degree of your ambition or desire for a better life, will help you decide this matter. Consider your life ten years from now and then you might ask yourself, “can I afford not to undertake Life Coaching?” Many people find that after Life Coaching they can increase their income by such an amount that it more than offsets the cost of the coaching.

Q.10 Who pays the telephone and internet costs involved in Life Coaching?
Telephone call charges are not included in the cost for one to one coaching sessions provided over the phone (mobile or landline). Clients are expected to call the coach at the agreed time, at the client’s own expense. Clients are welcome to use internet software, such a Skype which may substantially reduce the cost of such calls.
Clients also pay their own computing costs, including internet connection costs, when participating in our on-line courses. We will send you a link for the internet video-conferencing facility which we provide (at no extra charge) should you decide to select the on-line one to one course or online group course option.

Q.11 When should I book sessions when I select the one to one course option?

Q.12 What happens if I miss or am late for a one to one or group session?
Your Coach will be ready and available for your call from the time agreed by you both. If you fail to call or are late in calling, the Success Coach cannot be expected to over-run the scheduled end time in order for you to catch up on what you missed. It is your responsibility to be there on time for your sessions and your Success Coach will not be able to extend your booked time. There be no discount for time lost in such circumstances, so you will be charged the full cost of all booked sessions.
You must give your Success Coach a minimum of twenty four hours prior notice of your inability to attend a session, otherwise you will be charged in full for the cost of the original session.
If you give us twenty four hours notice of a change of session time, your Success Coach will try to agree a mutually suitable alternative time if you wish to reschedule the session.
Group sessions cannot be rescheduled because of the number of people involved and it is each members responsibility to be present on time for such sessions. No refund will be given if members miss or are late attending a session.
